Harrisena Church Worship Bulletin 4-25-2020
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for God’s compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is God’s faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
I love to read the scriptures. They help to put things into perspective. It is good to be alive! The possibilities of today are infinite (new mercies). I wonder......How many times will you smile today? How many loving conversations with friends or family? How many words will you say that warm your heart and the heart of someone else? How many kind thoughts will you think today? How much beauty will you see today? How many teeny-tiny things that you do today will make a HUGE difference in someone's life? I would love to hear about how your day went as you experience the infinite possibilities of today.
You will find a copy of our
Sunday Worship Bulletin and a copy of our new
ONLINE GIVING option created by the Harrisena Finance Committee. Notice on DONATE button on the flyer. The picture looks just like the one on the
harrisena.org
website. The Finance Committee invested a lot of time in choosing this platform to make it as easy as possible for us to continue to support our church during this challenging time.
THANK YOU, Bonnie, Cheryl and Ken! Working together makes all the difference!
REMEMBER, FACEBOOK LIVE at 3 PM today for our Blessed Saturday Gathering of scriptures and prayer.
The kids in our Christian Education Department are actively working to make sure the community knows that we support our frontline workers, all of our essential workers, our families, and our community during this time. Hal Payne, Head Trustee, put up a sign on the front lawn in front of the church so the kids would have a place to put signs and other symbols of encouragement. Kyla, Kenzie, and Caleigh painted a rainbow on one side of the sign yesterday. Thank you, girls!!!! The other kids will add to this sign. We are so thankful for their initiative in reaching out to the community and for Valerie and Lori. The kids will take turns ringing the church bell at 7 PM to show our solidarity and support.
Another, huge thank you to our Missions/Fellowship Committees who continue to provide weekly meals to our members. Thank you, again, Sue and Chuck Ogden, Mary Alice Clickner, Bill and Pam Loeb, Hal and Deanna Payne and Gigi Barrett. These meals make such a difference!
Thank you to the Loebs and Kelloggs for the face masks. Contact Bill Loeb or call me @ 518-744-8768, if you need a mask. THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us stay safe!
As we prepare for our worship service tomorrow at 9:30 AM, please notice that the Work of the Community will take place at the end of the service after I have ended the FACEBOOK LIVE service. This change helps us streamline the LIVE video portion of the service. Please save any questions, announcements, comments for that time. We look forward to this time together.
Also, we will sing one song. Please follow me. This makes for a better LIVE presentation and group participation. We are learning together and doing great! Thanks be to God!
Finally, I am so amazed at how well we have all continued the work of the ministry together. Every committee, every team, every member has contributed in some way. We have a couple of members who send out personal emails weekly. We have some members making phone calls. We have committees learning to communicate through mass media for the first time to keep going. From the youngest to the oldest, we are giving our best AND seeking ways to do more. Thank you Harrisena Community Church Family. Thanks be to God!
Don't forget to send your infinite possibilities experiences today. I look forward to hearing from you.
Shalom,
Rev. Dr. Natalie C. Wimberly
